Special Risk Insurance was formed to provide services for the emergency service organizations in Louisiana and Mississippi. In the ensuing years, the Glatfelter Public Practices product for municipalities and water and sewer districts was added to our line-up of specialty products.
The mission of VFIS of Mississippi/Louisiana has been to provide agents with quality products at a competitive price delivered in a timely manner to give them the optimal chance for a successful result.
We believe the strength of Glatfelter Insurance Group and Special Risk Insurance’s commitment to personal service to our agents and clients have resulted in three product lines unmatched in the market place.
New Agents
New Agents interested in accessing the VFIS program on behalf of an insured can do so once the following information listed below is provided to Special Risk Insurance d/b/a VFIS of Miss/Lou and accepted by Glatfelter Insurance Group. We will need the following items:

A Completed GIG Agency Questionnaire

A Copy of the Agencies Current State Insurance License both P&C and Life/Health

A Copy of all Writing Agents P&C and Life/Health Licenses

A Copy of the Agencies Current Errors & Omissions License

A Signed and Complete Broker Contract with Special Risk Insurance-Contract will be provided once above items are received in our office and verified.
